The third stage of cooperation between EPDOR and the Moravian company Flash Steel Power has already been launched. After the successful opening of the Egyptian market, the companies combined forces and focused on the application of Czech know-how in building biogas stations abroad. The Czech Republic has offered many opportunities to verify biogas technology, and we believe that Czech experience can successfully replicate in the markets of Turkey and the Middle East by properly seizing opportunities.
During the summer and autumn of 2017, EPDOR supported the wind technology supplier, Senvion, in the construction of 13 wind farms in Václavice, North Bohemia. The project confirms the argument that the Czech Republic is now ready to have green energy sources in its portfolio alongside nuclear, coal and gas blocks. For EPDOR, the project was an important entry into renewable energy in the local market, and we foresee participation in several more such projects in the Czech Republic and abroad.

In the field of water management, MICo and EPDOR signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. According to EPDOR, the area of ultra-filtration, treatment and recycling of water will geometrically increase its importance as a key technological process for industry and energy. The parties see the prospect of cooperation in the Middle East, Turkey and North Africa regions.

Partnership with TEDOM

EPDOR has launched a cooperation with Třebíč based company TEDOM, as part of its local and global activities. The cogeneration system is particularly promising in the Middle East markets, where local gas supplies are sufficient. Other areas of cooperation are the application of TEDOM technology for biogas stations in export markets. Both sides of the cooperation expect to generate interesting projects in the coming months and years.
In the energy sector, EPDOR has established a partnership with independent consultant Aleš Gavlas, trading as ALG ADVISORY. In Aleš, EPDOR found an experienced partner for comprehensive international consulting projects. Aleš has been working in the energy industry for nearly 20 years, across Central and Eastern Europe, and is known for his well-established opinions, commercial experience and original views and solutions on complicated projects. From future collaboration with ALG ADVISORY EPDOR expects to create many synergies in projects related to the use of modern digital tools and technologies throughout the energy value chain / production cycle. In projects from construction to the operation of electrical and thermal energy sources, as well as in the area of saving and managing energy consumption - including the decommissioning of these resources.
For e-government in the Middle East markets, KOMIX chose our company. The first stage gives EPDOR the task of establishing this Czech IT company in the Afghan market. Expansion in the field of IT has a lot in parallel with the development of expert markets in the field of engineering. Many local IT companies have devoted themselves just to the Czech IT market, which should definitely not be the case in the future. The IT and e-government area in Afghanistan will make a major transformation, and we believe that thanks to our help, Czech IT will find its way into Afghanistan.
EPDOR participated in the Power-Gen Fair in Cologne at the end of June 2017. The Power-Gen Fair is the largest energy fair in Europe. EPDOR took advantage of the platform of the trade fair for its business meetings and networking. Just like energy, this trade is being transformed. EPDOR likes the new concept of the trade fair which will be launched in Vienna in 2018.
April 2017 was also significant for EPDOR in terms of progress in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT). The area of IoT is something we think of in EPDOR as the logical outcome of the connection between the energy world and the IT world. IoT allows energy companies to monitor and diagnose many important parameters from the operation of technological equipment, and this will eventually make the power sector a much more dynamic, flexible, reliable, welcoming and economical sector. Both ZAT and EPDOR are ready to participate in this sectoral transformation and signed a cooperation agreement in April.
Our colleague, Ms. Basak Millik, took part in a series of meetings throughout the Czech Republic during July 2017. Personal communication with Ms. Millik was appreciated by many of our partners and clients in the Czech Republic. The main topic was the area of conventional and nuclear power, but also included many smaller energy projects. In EPDOR we take the Turkish market very seriously and we believe that EPDOR will continue to be successful in this country.
For the next 12 months EPDOR will focus on supporting UJV Chemistry of the fuel cycle and waste management division. This is a cooperation in the regions of Germany and the United Kingdom, where both parties see the opportunities available in decommissioning nuclear facilities. EPDOR has no doubt that a joint effort will make it possible for UJV Chemistry to succeed with its services in these foreign markets at a very high professional level.
